M2 and TEE · media measures

Faculty-note concept. No direct CPM calculation question was found among the 14 recovered APR papers. Understand the measure for media planning; the linked standalone drills are optional practice.

## Formula

$$
\operatorname{CPM}=\frac{C}{I}\times1000
$$

C = media cost; I = impressions in the stated audience and period. Divide to find cost per one impression, then multiply by 1,000. Check whether a source uses impressions, circulation or a specific audience base before comparing.

#### Illustrative example · Read the calculation in words

₹12,000 ÷ 24,000 impressions = ₹0.50 per impression; ₹0.50 × 1,000 = ₹500 CPM. Lower CPM alone does not establish better audience quality.
