The course policy specifies a 100-mark, three-hour examination with Q1 compulsory and any FOUR questions from Q2–Q7. Across the recovered papers, Q1 is a 20-mark group of short answers. Later questions address communication, advertising theories/models, strategic/media planning and PR. Q7 is a brand or campaign case.

| Part | Current archive pattern | Preparation |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Q1 | Four short parts of 5 marks | Definition + distinct explained points + example |
| Q2–Q6 | Two 10-mark parts per question | Definition, organised explanation, diagram/table if useful, applied example |
| Q7 | One 20-mark case | Context → objective → strategy → application → evaluation |

Some older papers phrase Q2–Q6 as complete 20-mark questions instead of two separate parts. Follow the printed paper. A paper offers 140 marks, but the selection rule produces 100 attempted marks.

## What the papers repeatedly ask

- Communication types, levels and barriers.
- Advertising theories and models, with examples.
- Brand concepts, positioning and brand management.
- Marketing-plan review, strategic planning and media planning.
- Reach, frequency, advertising weight and development indices.
- PR process, types, tools, agency work and communication distinctions.
- A case connecting brand behaviour with marketing communication.

The archive establishes question styles, not what will appear next. The short M2 portion is set by the latest faculty message, not inferred from these TEE papers.
