1. **Units 1–2:** draw star/bus/ring/mesh and both layered models. Explain wired/wireless tradeoffs and fiber strengths/limits in complete sentences.
2. **Unit 3:** XOR a codeword pair; determine minimum distance; do one CRC division with receiver check. Trace lost data and lost ACK under all three ARQ protocols. Then revise ALOHA, CSMA/CD and CSMA/CA.
3. **Unit 4:** solve a subnet across an octet boundary, one VLSM allocation, an IPv6 expansion and one graph with every intermediate step. Explain ARP next hop, DORA, RIP and the five OSPF packet types.
4. **Unit 5:** draw UDP/TCP headers and TCP handshake/FIN flow. Compare UDP/TCP/SCTP. Explain congestion feedback and solve one leaky timeline and one token burst.
5. **Unit 6:** narrate URL→DNS→connection→HTTP; draw the DNS hierarchy; separate FTP channels; write SMTP phases and commands.
6. **Paper:** practise Q1 plus four complete 20-mark questions. Recheck instructions on the actual day.

If time is short, use the source coverage map to find weak topics. Syllabus hours and repeated questions indicate emphasis, but they do not justify skipping a unit or promising a future question.

**Yaad rakho:** Layer ka role samjho; numerical mein units aur assumptions pehle.
