Syllabus match and recurring TEE themes
TEE paper pattern and question map
Twelve distinct paper sittings, 2022–2026; repeated stream copies consolidated
| Syllabus area | Themes found in the papers | How to study |
|---|---|---|
| Unit 1 | Hazard/risk/vulnerability, classification, perspectives, impacts, climate extremes and industrial hazards | Learn the distinctions first, then practise applying them to an actual case. |
| Unit 2 | Earthquake causes/waves, floods, droughts, landslides and mitigation | Learn cause → effect → measure, and practise the labelled diagrams. |
| Unit 3 | Cycle, ethics, NDMA, EWS, hierarchy, cordons and response/recovery plans | Explain roles and reasons; distinguish authority, technical agency and response force. |
| Unit 4 | GIS, remote sensing, media, training, drills, kits, METHANE and expert roles | Apply each tool to places, people and a management decision. |
| Unit 5 | Bhopal, Gujarat, Indian Ocean tsunami, Mumbai, Panshet, Nisarga, Uttarakhand, Kerala | Use a structured case answer without invented quantities. |
No whole DM question in the 12 sittings needed exclusion as unrelated to the current five units. Ambiguous labels, scientific errors and incorrect dates are corrected in the corresponding answer. Topics named in the syllabus but less visible in the papers—such as volcanoes, avalanches, subsidence, radiation, waste, oil spills and terrorism—remain in TEE reading.
