Final exam-writing pass

Last-day TEE revision

All five units: a compact final pass

TEE preparation order supported by the papers

What the available papers show: the 12 recovered TEE sittings (1 December 2022 to 10 July 2026), containing 194 question parts, ask for explanations, comparisons, sketches, measures, checklists and case applications. No question in that set supplies values and requires a numerical calculation. The 1 December 2022 Q2A [10 marks] asks for the disaster equation and its components with an example; it is a theory question. This describes the available papers, not a restriction on a future examiner.

  1. Complete all five syllabus units. Start with definitions and the management cycle, then study each hazard through causes, impacts and measures.
  2. Practise the descriptive and applied answer forms below, including diagrams wherever the prompt asks for them.
  3. Use the latest solved final and re-exam first, then the older papers to cover additional themes. Recurrence is useful practice evidence, not a prediction.
  4. Keep lecture formulas and their meanings. The long calculation exercises are optional practice, separated from the TEE core reading.

Use the actual paper instructions. The reviewed recent pattern is Q1 compulsory and any four complete questions from Q2–Q7. With 3 hours for 100 marks, allow roughly 1.8 minutes per mark before reserving reading/review time; adjust for diagrams and your writing speed.

  1. Check every requested subpart and point count.
  2. Draw a labelled diagram wherever asked; explain what it shows.
  3. For each measure write what it is, how it works and a relevant example.
  4. Distinguish mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
  5. Use verified dates; do not invent casualty totals or site-specific claims.
  6. Keep enough time to check numbering, completeness and unanswered compulsory parts.
