Answer

Magic of meaning

Definition. The magic of meaning refers to advertising’s association of goods with social or emotional meanings beyond their functional utility.

In simple words. Product ke saath feeling ya social meaning jod diya.

Understand it step by step

  1. Start with the functional product: detergent cleans, a drink refreshes, a watch shows time.
  2. Then identify the added symbolic meaning: fairness, friendship, achievement or belonging. Story, casting and imagery build the association.
  3. In your answer, show the bridge between product and meaning. Do not claim that purchasing the product automatically creates the promised social condition.

Imitative desire

Definition. Imitative desire describes wanting a product because an admired person or group appears to desire, use or represent it.

In simple words. Jise admire karte ho, uski choice ko apni identity se jod dete ho.

Understand it step by step

  1. Identify the admired model: a celebrity, athlete, expert or aspirational peer group.
  2. Identify the association being borrowed: confidence, attractiveness, performance or status.
  3. The consumer may imitate the model’s consumption to feel closer to that identity. This is a possible influence, not proof that all fans purchase. Endorsement does not replace product evidence.
